“Children are our greatest treasure. They are our future.”

Nelson Mandela

Children are our most precious resources and they should be cherished with care. They are the roots of the tree of our future. This tree can only be strong and green when its roots are strong. Therefore, we have to concentrate on strengthening these roots to flourish our tree of future.

But in our society, a very strong and harmful chemical is spread which weakens these roots. This hazardous chemical is CHILD LABOUR. Child labour basically means the employment of children in an industry or business, especially when illegal or considered exploitative. This child labour snatches away the most beautiful period of their life from these children – their childhood. Childhood is the basis of their fate and fortune. It is the time when they get ready for their future life, they develop their talents and abilities and for their education, whether theoretical or practical. But, rather than constructing their future, they construct our buildings. Many of our mansions and offices are embedded with bricks of their dreams and cement of their happiness. Their playful childhood is devoured by this devil of child labour.

It is the right of every child to get educated. to be able to go to school, and most importantly, to enjoy their childhood. Its our eternal duty to ensure that children are not deprived of their rights. They are our responsibility. Therefore, it is our job to make them able enough so that they can not only develop their future but also ensure bright future of our world.

So, all my readers, let’s take a pledge that we all will together make efforts so that dreams of these children are not smashed under bricks and cement. 🙂 🙂
